Broken Arrow native Kristin Chenoweth earlier this week filmed a guest starring spot on Kirstie Alley’s upcoming TV Land sitcom “Kirstie.”

On the show, which was initially titled “Giant Baby,” Alley plays Broadway star Madison Banks, whose life is turned upside down when the son she gave up at birth (Eric Petersen) shows up and wants to reconnect, according to TVGuide.com.

Chenoweth – an Emmy winner for the late, great show “Pushing Daisies” who also received a couple of Emmy nods for her memorable guest spots on “Glee” – was tapped to play Britney Gold, Maddie’s conniving and ambitious understudy who will do anything — or anyone — to get onstage. And since the unsinkable Maddie never misses a performance, she’ll leap at Maddie’s offer to finally let her go on in exchange for an unseemly favor, TVGuide.com reports.

“just had THE most fun in the universe (doing) my new show with @KChenoweth !!! MAN O MAN!!! she is awesome!!!!” Alley tweeted Tuesday @kirstiealley. She also posted a photo of Twitter of Chenoweth with the cast.

The feeling seemed to be mutual, as the Oklahoma native previously posted on Twitter (@KChenoweth), “I worked with @kirstiealley and her amazing cast all week. #happiness.”

Chenoweth isn’t the only high-profile  star due to appear on Alley’s new show: Jason Alexander, Kristen Johnston and Cloris Leachman also have signed on to do guest roles, according to TVGuide.com.
