Two face charges in shooting outside church
Two Oklahoma City men have been charged with firing shots during a prekindergarten graduation at a church. Catrelle J. “Baby Boy” Coney and Dandrae Dante “Bar None” Coney were charged Tuesday with one felony count each of shooting with intent to kill. The incident occurred June 7 at the Greater New Zion Baptist Church, 1005 NE 28. No one was struck by two bullets fired from a semi-automatic pistol. Dandrae Coney is accused of firing the rounds, according to papers filed in Oklahoma County District Court. The Coneys, whose relationship is unknown, asked a couple of people attending the program to come outside. Once outside, Catrelle Coney, 23, who is a felon serving a suspended sentence, began “mean mugging,” as if he wanted to fight, and Dandrae Coney, 29, started shooting, according to court papers. The intended victims ran away unhurt. Surveillance video backed up witnesses' accounts, according to papers filed with the court.
