What: Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame.

Where: Oklahoma National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

Inducted: Nadia Comaneci, Bill Self, Wayne Baughman and Clay Bennett. John Henry Ward, Jimmy Harris and Leroy “Ace'' Gutowsky were inducted posthumously.

Special: Georgia Frazier, Miss Okmulgee County, sang the national anthem.

Master of ceremonies: Mayor Mick Cornett.

THIS 'N' THAT

Event: Smarty Pants Trivia Night.

Hosted by: The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

To benefit: Multiple sclerosis.

Where: Oklahoma History Center.

What: This seventh annual benefit focused on trivia games with challenging questions, hors d'oeuvres, beverages and raffle prizes.

Need to know: Every hour in the United States someone is diagnosed with this disease. Multiple sclerosis affects more than 2.1 million people worldwide.

ABOUT THE CHILDREN

Event: Uptown Kids Third Anniversary Party.

To benefit: Citizens Caring for Children.

Where: Classen Curve.

Activities: Bounce houses, RedHawks mascot, face painting, snow cones, Chester's Petting Zoo and more. Concert numbers included Spaghetti Eddie and Sugar Free All Stars. Cafe 501, Green Goodies, Upper Crust and Republic restaurants donated food.
