Clerk pleads no contest

A liquor store clerk pleaded no contest to selling alcohol to a minor who later died in a traffic accident, court officials said Friday. Stacey Leann Dixon, 47, of Afton, entered the plea Thursday in Delaware County District Court. Sentencing is set for Nov. 5, according to the district attorney's office. Dixon, a clerk at Woodshed Liquor Store in Afton, sold vodka to 17-year-old Colton Kerns on April 19, 2011. The teen died the next day in a single-vehicle crash. Dixon is seen on store surveillance video selling alcohol to Kerns without checking an ID to verify his age, records show.
