JENKS PIPELINE?

Oklahoma has four players on its 2013 roster from Class 6A high-school powerhouse Jenks — senior defensive back Gabe Lynn, redshirt freshman running back Alex Ross, true freshman receiver Jordan Smallwood and walk-on receiver Brandon Kitchens, a redshirt freshman.

“It's fun,” Lynn said. “We had a little thing in here yesterday and I think it was Jordan Smallwood saying he was the best to come out of Jenks. There was a little competition there.

“When I got here, there wasn't anyone else here on the team. It's good to have other guys from our school up here.”

The Sooners are currently recruiting four-star Jenks safety Steven Parker, who is No. 1 on The Oklahoman's Super 30 list of the state's top 2013 college football prospects and holds dozens of offers from major programs around the country.

“We're trying to get him up here,” Lynn said.
