OSU Wrestling: John Smith to discuss Olympic wrestling in Google+ Hangout

by Trent Shadid Published: August 21, 2013

Oklahoma State wrestling coach John Smith will participate in a Google+ Hangout on Thursday at 4 p.m. to discuss his efforts to get wrestling back in the Olympics.

Smith will be joined by Penn State coach Cael Sanderson and Iowa coach Tom Brands. Current Cowboy wrestler Alex Dieringer will also join the session.

Fans can tweet questions with the hashtag: #LegendsHangout.

To RSVP to the hangout, visit the Keep Olympic Wrestling Google+ Page: https://plus.google.com/109585598075259542765/posts

There will also be live video of the event on the Keep Olympic Wrestling YouTube Channel and TheMat.com.

Smith, Sanderson, and Brands are the most recent of several wrestling leaders who have participated in weekly Google+ Hangouts to promote awareness of the International Olympic Committee’s final vote in September. The vote will determine if wrestling will once again become part of the Olympics in 2020.
