Tony- and Emmy-winning singer/actress Kristin Chenoweth, who hails from Broken Arrow, will return to the legendary Hollywood Bowl Friday and Saturday for her first solo shows, featuring the preeminent Los Angeles Philharmonic.
The uniquely talented star will perform songs from her Broadway, television and film successes, as well as some personal favorites, time-honored greats and entertaining surprises, according to the venue.
The Oklahoma native spoke with KABC-TV in Los Angeles about her Hollywood Bowl shows, as you can see in the video posted below.
As previously reported, Chenoweth appeared last month on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” to chat about her Hollywood Bowl shows, her hatred of seafood, her devotion to her charity Maddie’s Corner, her recent Australian tour and more. Even better, she belted a hilarious, sharply worded parody (posted below) of beleaguered New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner to the tune of “Popular,” from one of her signature Broadway roles, “Wicked.”
Chenoweth’s visit to “The Tonight Show” will be rebroadcast tonight. “The Tonight Show” airs at 10:35 p.m. weekdays on NBC.
Also, just for fun and amazement, check out the recently released high-quality video of Chenoweth and Oscar- and Tony-nominated actress Anna Kendrick belting the “Wicked” hit “For Good” at last year’s Trevor Live benefit.
