Wreck proves fatal
A one-year-old girl was killed in a wreck Wednesday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Harper Matile, 1, of Bristow.
Harper died in a crash about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on State Highway 66 about 1.5 miles north of Bristow in Creek County, according to patrol reports.
Harper was a passenger in a car driven by Jennifer Matile, 29, of Bristow. The patrol reports a car driven by Ryan Rohr, 27, drifted left of center when Rohr fell asleep at the wheel. Rohr's car hit a car driven by Shannon Yager, 24, of Bristow, and then hit Jennifer Matile's car on the passenger side.
Rohr was taken to a Bristow hospital, where he was treated for arm injuries and released.
Yager and Jennifer Matile were not injured. Passenger Landyn Matile, 5, of Bristow, was treated for head injuries at a Tulsa hospital and released.
Harper was taken to a Tulsa hospital where she was pronounced dead. Seat belts and child safety seats were in use.
