Tiffany Gibson spent most of August traveling the state of Oklahoma.And she did it on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and her email.
NewsOK and The Oklahoman kicked off the #MyOklahoma promotion in August. Gibson, the NewsOK news web editor and social media specialist, launched our new Instagram account (News_OK) as part of the project. But we also used Twitter, Facebook and old-fashioned web submissions.
In all, almost 1,000 have been shared. We’re running some of the best images in newspaper on Sunday. And we need just a few more to top the 1,000 mark.
Running the photos in the newspaper was always part of our plan. But the images were so good, we decided to keep it going. We’ll run a #MyOklahoma image every day until we’ve covered it all.
Tiffany will be busy. But she’ll see the entire state when we’re done.
