If it's the Last Friday of the Month, it must be time for H & 8th

The next incarnation of the H & 8th Night Market commences at 7 p.m. tonight, and those that attend will have 24 food trucks to choose from, including some out-of-town entries and even a vegetarian vendor.

The Loaded Bowl, a new vegetarian food truck in Oklahoma City, will join the season’s largest gathering of mobile restaurants at the corner of Hudson Avenue and NW 8th Street until 11 p.m. with rest of the two dozen food purveyors.

H&8th Night Market is a monthly, family- and pet-friendly street festival built around live music and a lineup of some of the metro’s best food trucks.

This month’s food vendors include: Big Truck Tacos, Cafe Bella on Wheels, Crepe Brewers, Cupcake Queen, El Reno Onion Burger, Frank’s Wurst, Hall’s Pizza Kitchen, Hawk’s Hot Dogs, Heo’s Kitchen, Huey’s Shave Ice, Jerky.com, La Gumbo Ya Ya, Lalo’s I Love My Taco Chop & Grill (Yukon), Mexiasian Fusion (Lawton), Mutt’s Amazing Hot Dogs, Off The Hook Seafood & More, Roxy’s Ice Cream Social, Smokin’ Okies, Tacos El Patron, Taste of Soul Eggroll, Taste of Soul Chicken and Waffle, The Loaded Bowl, Urban Agrarian and Wild Al’s.

There were 17 food trucks at the July event, and an estimated attendance of 8,500.

Neighborhood restaurant Ludivine will serve East Side Chicken (buttermilk-fried smoked chicken thighs with honey), pork dumplings with citrus dipping sauce, biscuits and gravy, and vegetable roti. Open seating. Elemental Coffee will serve coffee and tea, COOP Ale Works will offer craft beer, and fresh cucumber cocktails with Prairie Wolf vodka will be served on the Ludivine patio (bar opens at 4 p.m.).

Live music will include Tulsa duo Desi and Cody at 7 p.m., Honeylark at 8 p.m., Tyler Hopkins & the Rebellion at 9 p.m. and Sherree Chamberlain at 10 p.m. Juke Joint Jenny, host of “Juke Joint Revival” on The Spy FM and KOSU radio, will DJ in front of Elemental Coffee from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

ScissorTale Salon’s monthly pop-up shop guest will be Plaza District favorite Tree & Leaf Clothing. Recycling and composting is provided by Fertile Ground.
