It was a tough week for a lot of the teams in The Oklahoman’s preseason top 10 for Class 6A. Five of the top eight lost in their season opener, and four of them remain in the top 10, with Norman jumping into the group after upsetting Norman North.

No movement for Tulsa Union in the No. 2 spot after the loss to Texas power DeSoto on Saturday. And Edmond Santa Fe, because of its unique situation playing without its starting quarterback, Oklahoma commit Justice Hansen, wasn’t penalized for a loss to a Midwest City squad that is pushing hard to crack the top 10.

Despite its loss to Broken Arrow, Owasso actually moves up a spot, with Norman North’s fall. Lawton could be poised to jump the Rams in the coming weeks, but Friday’s rout of Lawton Eisenhower didn’t provide enough ammunition for the Wolverines to make such a move right now.

After one week of football, here is The Oklahoman’s Class 6A top 10:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Jenks, 1-0 (1)
2. Tulsa Union, 0-1 (2)
3. Broken Arrow, 1-0 (3)
4. Ed. Santa Fe, 0-1 (4)
5. Owasso, 0-1 (6)
6. Lawton, 1-0 (7)
7. Southmoore, 1-0 (9)
8. Norman, 1-0 (NR)
9. Norman North, 0-1 (5)
10. Sand Springs, 1-0 (10)
Dropped out: Edmond North (8)
