Oklahoma man charged in Grand Lake boating deaths

JAY - A Tulsa man was charged Monday with two counts of manslaughter in a fatal boat crash that killed two people.

John S. Deselms, 21, of Tulsa, was charged in Delaware County District Court. He is free on a reduced bail of $25,000, said his attorney Winston Conner II.

Deselms was the driver of a boat that crashed into a docked houseboat on Grand Lake in May, killing Nicole Swetnam, 21, of Grove and William Lewis “Trey” Varner III, 21, of Texarkana, Ark.
