Heat lets up a little in central Oklahoma Tuesday

Temperatures will be a little cooler Tuesday in central Oklahoma. Skies will be sunny and dry.

The heat is letting up a bit in central Oklahoma.

Skies will continue to be sunny and dry, the National Weather Service reports. But the high temperature will be near 93 degrees, slightly cooler than recent days.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 93. South wind 6 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 71. South, southeast wind 6 to 10 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 94. South wind 6 to 9 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 72. Southeast wind 3 to 8 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 93. South wind around 5 mph becoming west in the afternoon.

Thursday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a low around 70.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 87.

Friday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 68.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 88.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 68.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny with a high near 89.

Sunday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy with a low around 66.

Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 86.
