The Oklahoman's Week 1 state college football power poll:

1. East Central (1-0): Another big defensive effort needed at Southern Arkansas.

2. Southeastern (1-0): Scored 56 points in opener — and barely won.

3. Southwestern (1-0): Quarterback Dustin Stenta saves the day.

4. Central Oklahoma (0-1): Bronchos' defense a question mark.

5. Langston (0-1): Tough, tough nonconference schedule.

6. Bacone (1-1): Warriors can score — but can they stop anybody?

7. Northeastern (0-1): Faces Missouri Southern's high-octane option offense.

8. Oklahoma Baptist (0-2): Bison could easily be 2-0.

9. Panhandle State (1-1): Nice recovery after 75-point loss at Lamar.

10. Southern Nazarene (0-1): 82-10 loss at Henderson State. Ouch.

11. Northwestern (0-1): Offense struggled vs. Arkansas Tech.
