There was some shuffling in the top 10 of Class 6A, most notably the move of Broken Arrow ahead of Tulsa Union for the No. 2 spot.
Broken Arrow’s win at Bentonville, Ark., was another statement — like Jenks’ win in Texas last week — to states around Oklahoma that we’re producing some impressive football talent within our borders. Bentonville had been ranked in the top 50 in multiple national polls, and was viewed by many as Arkansas’ best team. Big win, and with it, BA moves ahead of 0-2 Union — of course, those two teams meet this week, so the No. 2 spot will be decided on the field anyway.
Westmoore, with its solid win over Southmoore (previously No. 7), bumped the Jaguars up into the top 10, while Sand Springs falls out following its loss to Bixby. And Midwest City still sits just on the edge of the top 10 for another week, after holding off Stillwater’s rally on Friday to improve to 2-0.
