In the past year, country music superstar Miranda Lambert has created a tourist attraction in her adopted hometown of Tishomingo with the opening of her Pink Pistol store.
While performing in her home state of Texas over the weekend, the Grammy winner confirmed on Facebook that she is opening a second Pink Pistol location in her hometown of Lindale.
“Thanks Dallas for a great show last night! Awesome to play close to home! Speaking of home…. The Pink Pistol Texas is coming to Lindale! I was born & raised in East Tx so it’s only fitting that we have Pink Pistol Texas there! Grand opening is oct 12-13!” she wrote on her official Facebook page.
The Pink Pistol Texas will be at 100 E Hubbard in Lindale and already has its own Facebook page, which describes the project like this:
The Pink Pistol is a very unique store inspired by Miranda Lambert. The store was originally created as a hobby and a way to promote business in her adopted hometown of Tishomingo Oklahoma. Since the opening of the original store in October of 2012, business has flourished in that tiny town. Because of the great success as well as new growth in the downtown Tishomingo area, Miranda has cast a new vision in hopes that her childhood hometown, Lindale Texas will experience the same excitement. We invite you all to embark on a road trip to visit each location. Both Pink Pistol stores want their customers to enjoy the experience of visiting our locations therefore we have elected not to make our products available online. The experience to come and see her vision and her personality at each store is well worth the road trip! In one word, the store is an “experience”
Kudos to Miranda for finding a unique way to support both her hometowns.
