100 Building Repairs To Cost $2 million-plus

Water rushing into the #OKC city office building at 100 N Walker Ave. filled the basement in 3 minutes during a torrential rainstorm on May 31. An engineers’ report says the seven-story building’s foundation appears sound but recommends replacing the entire basement floor and installing a drainage system. The 5-inch-thick concrete slab blew out from the pressure of floodwater forcing its way in from the Arts District parking garage construction site next door. City employees who work in the 100 Building have been in temporary quarters all summer.
