Suspect fatally shot by own accomplice in Tulsa motel robbery, police believe

A man who died Thursday morning under circumstances that weren't immediately clear has been declared Tulsa's 44th homicide victim of the year.

The man was shot during an altercation after an armed robbery at the Georgetown Motel, 8500 E. Skelly Dr., Tulsa Police Sgt. Dave Walker said.

The homicide victim was a suspect in the armed robbery, and police think his alleged accomplice in the robbery shot him, Walker said.
