The weather forecast for this weekend is looking perfect for spending time outdoors, and the folks at Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport are welcoming the sunshine for this year’s community event this weekend.

From 8:00am to 4:00pm this Saturday, the Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport will host its annual Fly-In Community Day. Attendance is free, and there are several aircraft and classic car displays scheduled.

A wide variety of aircraft will be on the ramp for viewing. According to the airport’s Facebook page, visitors will be able to view vintage World War II trainers, a mid-restoration A-26 bomber and home-built experimental aircraft.

For kids from age 8-17, Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport’s Community Day is an opportunity to take a ride in an aircraft at no cost as part of the Experimental Aircraft Association’s “Young Eagles” program.

Food and drink will be available at the event. For more information on the fly-in, visit the airport’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/GuthrieEdmondRegionalAirport.
