The Oklahoman's Class A rankings: A new team at No. 10

With the top nine teams in the poll picking up victories, there wasn’t much change in this week’s Class A top 10.

The only move was Morrison stepping in at No. 10. With a 2-1 record against an all-2A schedule, the Wildcats overtook the spot previously held by Wayne, which is 1-2 and scoreless the last two weeks without running back Louden Johnson. Once he returns, Wayne could be in line for a return to the top 10.

Much like Class 2A, there are several unbeaten teams, like Apache, Summit Christian, Mooreland, Yale and Depew, trying to build enough credit to earn a top 10 spot. But time will tell for those teams.

Here’s The Oklahoman’s new Class A top 10:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Ringling, 1-1 (1)
2. Thomas, 3-0 (2)
3. Wynnewood, 2-1 (3)
4. Kiefer, 3-0 (4)
5. Hollis, 3-0 (5)
6. Okeene, 2-1 (6)
7. Cashion, 2-1 (7)
8. Minco, 2-1 (8)
9. Talihina, 3-0 (9)
10. Morrison, 2-1 (NR)
Dropped out: Wayne, 1-2 (10)
