TCU tops among Big 12 teams when it comes to scheduling

Rank. Team (Non-conference games against BCS-conference teams since 1999)

1. TCU (15)

The Horned Frogs needed marquee wins against BCS-conference teams to break through to college football's elite and they did it with aggressive scheduling that included games at Oklahoma (twice), Texas, Nebraska, Stanford, Clemson and Oregon State before joining the Big 12 last season.

2. Oklahoma (9)

But West Virginia hasn't been a slouch in scheduling, going to Notre Dame, LSU, Auburn, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Colorado and Mississippi State in that span.

4. Texas (7)

The Longhorns most notable road trip in recent years was to Ohio State in 2005 but Texas also went to Stanford, North Carolina, UCLA and Ole Miss in recent years as well as playing a home-and-home with old Southwest Conference rival Arkansas.
