The Oklahoman's Class 4A rankings: Poteau, Fort Gibson on the move

It was a fairly routine week in the Class 4A rankings, though there was a little bit of shuffling at the bottom. Poteau picked up a strong win over Sallisaw to extend its undefeated start, jumping to No. 7 in this week’s poll.

And Fort Gibson returned to the rankings after one week on the outside. It took the No. 10 spot previously held by Weatherford, which was on the wrong end of a lopsided loss to Clinton. The Eagles are still looking for a quality win to add to their resume, though they’ve played a couple of tough teams the last two weeks.

Woodward and Tulsa McLain, both at 3-1, and a slew of two-loss teams are on the outside waiting for teams to stumble so they can grab a top 10 spot, but for now, here’s how The Oklahoman’s Class 4A poll stands:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Wagoner, 4-0 (1)
2. Clinton, 3-1 (2)
3. Anadarko, 4-0 (3)
4. Cascia Hall, 4-0 (4)
5. Douglass, 3-1 (5)
6. Ada, 3-1 (6)
7. Poteau, 4-0 (9)
8. Glenpool, 3-1 (7)
9. Catoosa, 3-1 (8)
10. Fort Gibson, 3-1 (NR)
Dropped out: Weatherford, 1-2 (10)
