The Oklahoman's Class C rankings: A shocker shakes things up

Thanks to Temple’s upset of Ryan, previously ranked No. 6, the Class C poll saw some movement in the bottom half this week.

Temple was previously winless, though a couple of those losses were to ranked opponents Fox and Tipton. But none of Temple’s losses had been close prior to its 22-point win over Ryan last Friday.

So Ryan fell out of the poll, and with three straight wins,  Webbers Falls jumps in, though it has a visit from No. 4 Thackerville coming this Friday.

Maud remained at No. 8 despite a loss to Thackerville. Timberlake is clinging to the 10th spot with a 2-2 record against a very tough schedule that includes a win over previously ranked Deer Creek-Lamont.

Here’s The Oklahoman’s Class C poll:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Tipton, 4-0 (1)
2. Cherokee, 3-0 (2)
3. Sharon-Mutual, 4-0 (3)
4. Thackerville, 3-0 (4)
5. Balko, 4-0 (5)
6. Bluejacket, 3-1 (7)
7. Shattuck, 3-1 (9)
8. Maud, 3-1 (8)
9. Webbers Falls, 3-1 (NR)
10. Timberlake, 2-2 (10)
Dropped out: Ryan, 1-2 (6)
