Video: Kendrick Perkins dislocates his finger in first preseason game

Forewarning: If dislocated joints gross you out, you probably don’t want to continue reading (or viewing) this post.

Late in the first half of the Thunder’s preseason opener against Fenerbahce Ulker, Kendrick Perkins gathered in a rebound, then took a gander at one of the fingers that helped secure it in.

He didn’t like what he saw. And neither did anyone else near him.

Perkins had dislocated the ring finger on his left hand. Take a look at the photo and video:

Perkins immediately left the game and, as expected, didn’t return to start the second half, with rookie Steven Adams taking his place.

But in all likelihood, it shouldn’t mean an extended absence for the Thunder’s starting center. Dislocated fingers are painful when they happen, sore after, but not typically a lingering issue. Unless of course, there are torn ligaments or fractured bones. We’ll keep you updated.
