On the first day of its new term, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected the appeals of three Oklahoma Death Row inmates, signaling an end to the appeals for:
Ronald Clinton Lott
Michael Lee Wilson
Johnny Dale Black
Black received his death sentence in Stephens County for the 1998 slaying of Bill Pogue, a prominent horse trainer.
Lott was convicted of killing two Oklahoma City women in September 1986 and January 1987.
Anna Laura Fowler, 83, and Zelma Cutler, 90, were raped and smothered to death in their homes. The women lived alone and across the street from each other in the 1100 block of NW 31. They were murdered four months apart.
Wilson was one of four men convicted in the 1995 death of Richard Yost at a QuikTrip store.
