The Oklahoman's Class 2A rankings: Undefeated Meeker enters this week's poll

by Scott Wright Published: October 7, 2013

Not a ton of movement in this week’s Class 2A poll, but a new team joined the mix.

As one of only six unbeaten teams remaining in Class 2A, Meeker steps in at No. 10 this week, coming off a lopsided win over Okemah. Meeker takes the spot vacated by Nowata, which fell to No. 8 Adair 24-13 last week.

Hugo is also 5-0, but still waiting for a statement win to cement their place as one of the top teams in the class. To date, Hugo’s five opponents have a combined record of 3-22. But with Hartshorne and No. 4 Vian coming up in the next two weeks, Hugo will have the chance to prove itself.

Here’s The Oklahoman’s Class 2A poll heading into Week 6:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Millwood, 5-0 (1)
2. Davis, 5-0 (2)
3. OCS, 4-1 (3)
4. Vian, 5-0 (4)
5. Hennessey, 4-1 (5)
6. Commerce, 5-0 (6)
7. Stroud, 4-1 (7)
8. Adair, 4-1 (9)
9. Washington, 4-1 (10)
10. Meeker, 5-0 (NR)
Dropped out: Nowata, 4-1 (8)
