Gabe Ikard called it “like Christmas morning” for the OU players Monday when the Sooners got a hold of their gold-edition uniforms for the Red River Rivalry game against Texas this weekend.
The buzz on Twitter was mostly positive for the new Nike threads. OU went all out with a trailer on SoonerSports.com and plenty of photos. Going for their fourth consecutive win in the Red River Rivalry, the Sooners’ unis will match the Gold Hat if they win.
Here’s what some of the players, past and present, and coaches were saying about the uniforms on Monday:
And we got new pants and gloves and cleats ..I’m too hyped!!!
