The Oklahoman's Class A rankings: Top teams roll

by Scott Wright Modified: October 7, 2013 at 3:05 pm •  Published: October 7, 2013

There wasn’t anything crazy to shake up the world of the Class A rankings this week. The top nine teams all won games they were expected to win, and No. 10 Apache lost to No. 2 Thomas 43-32. A respectable loss that doesn’t warrant a drop in the rankings.

So everything stands pat heading into Week 6. Class A is one of the only classes — 3A being the other — without a matchup of top 10 teams in Week 6. Crescent at No. 6 Minco stands as the marquee game in the class this week. Crescent is one of a couple teams sitting right outside the top 10 waiting for an opportunity to grab a spot.

Here’s The Oklahoman’s Class A top 10:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Ringling, 3-1 (1)
2. Thomas, 5-0 (2)
3. Wynnewood, 4-1 (3)
4. Kiefer, 5-0 (4)
5. Hollis, 5-0 (5)
6. Minco, 4-1 (6)
7. Okeene, 4-1 (7)
8. Talihina, 5-0 (8)
9. Morrison, 4-1 (9)
10. Apache, 4-1 (10)
Dropped out: None
