NORMAN — Oklahoma will wear alternate uniforms for the third time in the Bob Stoops era on Saturday against Texas.

Here's a look at the two other times the Sooners wore different uniforms than their traditional ones:

August 29, 2003, vs. North Texas

The look: The Sooners wore throwbacks, styled after the uniforms worn by Bud Wilkinson's dominate 1950s-era teams. The look featured white helmets with a crimson stripe, crimson jerseys with white stripes and smaller numbers.

The game: Oklahoma easily defeated the Mean Green 37-3 on Owen Field in the 2003 season opener, with eventual Heisman Trophy winner Jason White tossing three touchdown passes.

November 21, 2009, at Texas Tech

The look: Oklahoma wore all-white Nike Pro Combat uniforms, which included white helmets with a crimson stripe, also meant as a nod to the Wilkinson era.

The game: Texas Tech routed Oklahoma 41-13, holding the Sooners to 48 yards rushing and picking off quarterback Landry Jones twice.
