Fan poll: Vote for the Fans' Choice City-Area Football Player of the Week

Week 6 was highlighted by some clutch performances in big games across the Oklahoma City area.

And now fans can vote for the one they feel was the best.

The Fans’ Choice City-Area Football Player of the Week poll is live.

Pick one of the selections from the poll below, or write in your own candidate in the comments section, where you can tell us why your choice deserves Player of the Week honors.

Voting ends at 4 p.m. Tuesday and the results of the poll will appear in Wednesday’s Oklahoman.

Here are the candidates:

Idae Alexander, Guthrie: Scored two touchdowns in the second half to lift Guthrie 28-21 over rival Carl Albert. He carried the ball 21 times for 182 yards, 130 of which came in the second half.

Zach Bergt, Newcastle: Rushed for 100 yards and scored all four touchdowns in Newcastle’s 28-14 victory against Heritage Hall.

Kaedyn Fuller, PC North: Fuller caught the game-winning touchdown in overtime during the Panthers’ 21-20 upset of No. 9 Midwest City. He also opened the scoring for PC North with a TD pass of his own.

Colton Lindsey, Christian Heritage: Lindsey returned from a shoulder injury in a big way, completing 27 of 32 passes for 392 yards and four touchdowns during CHA’s 67-46 win against Dibble.

Isiah Shaputis, Douglass: Shaputis caught a touchdown pass on offense and returned an interception 84 yards for a touchdown as the Trojans’ secondary kept Glenpool from completing a pass in the 36-7 win.

Dupree Young, Norman: Young rushed for six touchdowns and more than 300 yards in the Tigers’ 49-31 win against Choctaw to end a three-game losing streak.
