Week 7 of the football season features two big games between teams from the top six of the Class 6A rankings, but last week’s action brought more shake-ups to the bottom two spots in the top 10.
Edmond Memorial, which bounced back from a tight loss to Lawton with back-to-back wins over Norman and Mustang, enters the poll for the first time this season. At 4-2, the Bulldogs also have wins over Edmond North and Deer Creek, along with a loss to Enid in Week 2.
And Bixby, which handed Sapulpa its second loss of the season, returns to the poll at No. 10. The 4-2 Spartans’ only losses are to top-five teams Broken Arrow and Westmoore.
Just outside the top 10, some good teams have big games this week, with Edmond North taking on No. 8 Norman North, Tulsa Washington facing No. 7 Owasso and a pair of previous top-10 teams squaring off when Southmoore visits Norman.
