The Oklahoman's Class C rankings: Shattuck takes another step up

The Class C rankings saw a little shuffling in the middle with a top-10 showdown between Shattuck and Balko.

The 34-28 win helped Shattuck take over the dubious title of Class C’s Best One-Loss Team. That vaults them to No. 5 in the poll, while Balko dropped one spot to No. 6. And Bluejacket — by no fault of its own — moves down one spot to No. 7, simply because it was jumped by Shattuck.

The rest of The Oklahoman’s Class C top 10 remained the same this week, with only four unbeaten teams remaining in the class:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Tipton, 6-0 (1)
2. Cherokee, 5-0 (2)
3. Sharon-Mutual, 6-0 (3)
4. Thackerville, 5-0 (4)
5. Shattuck, 5-1 (7)
6. Balko, 5-1 (5)
7. Bluejacket, 5-1 (6)
8. Timberlake, 4-2 (8)
9. Maud, 4-2 (9)
10. Arkoma, 4-2 (10)
Dropped out: None
