Jhajuan Seales was a bit of an afterthought of the 2012 recruiting class, a late grab and two-star prospect grouped together with receivers with much more hype like C.J. Curry (four stars), Brandon Sheperd (four stars) and Blake Webb (three stars).
Turns out that Seales was just a late bloomer, as he has made an immediate impact as a redshirt freshman, ranking second on the team in both catches (19) and receiving yards (250) so far this season.
But like his recruiting hype, Seales’ personality is quiet and subdued. Yet here’s a condensed version of four factoids:
I like cartoons. Phineas and Ferb is my favorite.
I love spending time with my family and having cookouts. Crawfish or barbeque.
I like going back to my high school (Port Arthur Memorial in Texas) and talking to the kids about how college is and how the speed of the game changes.
I like kids. Trying to get them to play football, as well. Tossing the ball, running with them.
