The Oklahoman's Class 2A rankings: A week full of wins

The top 10 teams in the Class 2A poll swept their opponents in Week 7, but a couple of one-loss teams are right on the edge, trying to jump into the rankings.

The rankings hold this week, after victories by all the top teams. But Nowata, which had previously been ranked, and Hartshorne have both put together solid 6-1 records. Nowata’s only loss it to No. 8 Adair, and Hartshorne’s loss was to 3A Stigler, but both teams are lacking a statement victory to jump them ahead of some of the teams in the bottom of the poll.

Here’s how The Oklahoman’s Class 2A rankings stand heading into Week 8:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Millwood, 7-0 (1)
2. Davis, 7-0 (2)
3. Vian, 7-0 (3)
4. Hennessey, 6-1 (4)
5. OCS, 5-2 (5)
6. Commerce, 7-0 (6)
7. Meeker, 7-0 (7)
8. Adair, 6-1 (8)
9. Washington, 6-1 (9)
10. Chisholm, 6-1 (10)
Dropped out: None
