Over the last few weeks, Thomas had been building a case to possibly jump Ringling for the No. 1 spot in Class A, but that all came unglued with Hollis’ 40-15 upset of the Terriers last week.

Instead, Hollis jumps up from its No. 5 spot, while Thomas takes a dip down to No. 6, just ahead of Okeene by virtue of the Terriers’ head-to-head win over Okeene earlier this season.

And at the No. 10 spot, undefeated Summit Christian steps in for the first time this season. The Eagles had been slowly gaining ground, and last week’s win over Warner gave the resume just enough of a boost to jump in, overtaking the spot held by 6-1 Apache.

There’s not anything Apache did to deserve a drop, but more a case of Summit earning a bump up. Apache’s only loss is to Thomas, but the seven wins on Summit’s schedule have a little more strength than the six of Apache, which have all come against teams with two wins or fewer.

Here’s The Oklahoman’s Class A top 10:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Ringling, 5-1 (1)
2. Hollis, 6-0 (5)
3. Wynnewood, 6-1 (3)
4. Kiefer, 7-0 (4)
5. Minco, 6-1 (6)
6. Thomas, 6-1 (2)
7. Okeene, 6-1 (7)
8. Talihina, 7-0 (8)
9. Morrison, 6-1 (9)
10. Summit Christian, 7-0 (NR)
Dropped out: Apache, 6-1 (10)
