FAIR PLAY

Event: Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City's 35th annual Equal Opportunity Day luncheon.

Where: Devon Energy Center, 50th floor.

Honored: Bruce Lawrence, Teresa Rose, Tracy McDaniel and Carl Holmes.

Keynote Speaker: Gov. Mary Fallin, who is chairman of the National Governor's Association, shared thoughts on education and training for tomorrow's jobs and how it correlates to the Urban League's mission.

I HAVE A DREAM

Event: Meet The Young Artist Party.

Where: Hudiburg Chevrolet, Midwest City.

What: Pictures of Hope on display were created by children to represent their hopes and dreams. Photojournalists partnered with City Rescue Mission and Hudiburg Chevrolet to provide cameras to underprivileged children so that could take photos of their interpretation of hopes and dreams.

To benefit: Proceeds from the sale of the cards benefit the City Rescue Mission.

IN COSTUME

Event: NorthCare (UN)Masked Party.

Where: Oklahoma History Center.

What: A Halloween Party held on the 50th Anniversary of the Community Mental Health Center Act. Guests were given a chance to learn about NorthCare, enjoy music by the Matt Stansberry and the Romance band, finger food, cocktails and a costume contest.

Chairman: Mike Mclain. Carol Asin, Bob Burke, Anna Geary, Andrew Rice, Sarah Roberts, Teresa Rose and Ann Simank were committee members.
