Another football player who loves hoops and video games? That’s expected.
Back-to-back weeks of players proclaiming they love the Discovery Channel? Not so much.
An Oklahoma State cornerback who sews Christmas sweaters? Really unexpected.
Welcome to Kevin Peterson’s life. Here are his Four Factoids:
I watch the Discovery Channel 24/7. I’m a nature person. My hometown (Wagoner) is probably one of the country-est places. Nature, just animals, things like that just really intrigues me. I don’t know anything else, really.
I tell everybody that I’m a better receiver than I am corner. I try to tell the coaches to switch me up every day, but they won’t have it. If y’all have a bad recruiting year or y’all need somebody for a couple plays, just let me know. I’ll do that for y’all.
I can sew. My mom and my grandma, when I was little, they were always sewing things. That’s my mom and my grandma’s favorite hobby. I came in there one day playing with the needles and pricked myself, and they said, “For punishment you’ve gotta sew something.” And I said, “OK, fine. It can’t be that hard. Y’all are doing it.” So I kind of did it and then I started liking it. I probably do it maybe five times per year. It didn’t look cool when it was done, but I tried to do a sweatshirt. It’s a Christmas sweatshirt with a reindeer on it, but it didn’t look as good as I probably thought it would.
My second-favorite sport is basketball. My first love was basketball. Every time there’s a game on, every time I can go play, that’s my favorite game to play on my PlayStation. (My favorite player is) LeBron James. No Kobe Bryant. If you talk about LeBron James, you have to say no Kobe Bryant. I hate Kobe.
