Oklahoma's Gabe Ikard and Trey Millard each received invitations to the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine in February.

Ikard started 50 games during his career on the offensive line, making 32 starts at center and 18 at left guard. He was a team captain as a senior, and was named a first-team Walter Camp All-American.

Millard was also a team captain, but suffered a season-ending ACL tear in late October. The fullback rushed for 531 yards, recorded 678 yards receiving and scored 13 touchdowns in his career.

Despite the invitation, it's unlikely Millard will actually be able to participate while he recovers from his injury. He said last month that the combine is “out of the question.”

Oklahoma linebacker Corey Nelson's fight with the NCAA for a fifth year of eligibility has apparently ended in disappointment for the 2013 team captain.

Nelson posted a message to fans on Instagram that indicated he won't be back for another year.

“Things did not turn out the way I planned it, but I know God has me all the way,” Nelson wrote.

Nelson was having the best season of his career before a torn pectoral muscle ended it in early October. He first appealed to the Big 12 Conference for a medical redshirt, but was denied, forcing him to appeal to the NCAA.

Among the big group of former OU football standouts at the Sugar Bowl last week was Adrian Peterson, now a superstar running back with the Minnesota Vikings.
