Today’s evidence that college football season is getting closer: the release of odds for 200 of the top games of the season by Golden Nugget.
It’s no big surprise that Oklahoma is featured nine times on the list, with only games against Louisiana Tech (Aug. 30), at Tulsa (Sept. 6) and Kansas (Nov. 22) left off. The Sooners figure to be big favorites in all three of those games.
Only Notre Dame is featured more, with the Fighting Irish making 11 appearances on the list. Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Kansas State, Miami, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, UCLA and USC are also featured nine times.
With a favorable schedule, it’s also not a surprise that the Sooners are favored in each of the games listed. The margins, though, are a bit of a surprise.
As it stands, the Sooners aren’t favored by less than nine points in any of their games. The Red River Showdown with Texas is the only game listed where OU is favored by single digits.
