American audiences got out the tissues Wednesday night after "American Idol" contestant Chris Medina gave a powerful audition and told what is being called the most heart-wrenching story "Idol" has ever aired.
Chris, 26, auditioned in Milwaukee and talked about getting engaged about two years ago to his girlfriend of six years Juliana. Tragically, two months before they were to wed, Juliana got in an accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury.
"I was about to make vows just two months from the accident -- through thick and thin, 'til death do us part, for better or worse," he said tearing up. "What kind of guy would I be if I walked out when she needed me the most?"
