Power plant prices paid by Entergy Corp

The federal Energy Information Administration estimated in 2010 that it costs $978 per kilowatt of generating capacity to build a gas-fired power plant. But New Orleans-based Entergy Corp. has been able to acquire such plants much more cheaply, folding them into Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi subsidiaries.
