Miami Beach hosts tourism to Africa summit

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Miami Beach is hosting an African tourism summit.

The Foundation for Democracy in Africa has collaborated with Miami International Airport for Wednesday's event in Miami Beach. The U.S./Africa Air Transportation and Tourism Summit will bring together travel experts.

The program includes an analysis of who is traveling to Africa, the role of African governments in tourism promotion as well as highlight travel agents and tour operators.

Visitors will also be making trips across Miami.

A program statement says The Foundation for Democracy in Africa is a development organization that promotes democracy, sustainable development, economic growth, and plurality throughout Africa.
