2 Charlotte Bobcats to provide Thanksgiving meals

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Kemba Walker is used to assists as a point guard for the Charlotte Bobcats, but he and forward Jeffery Taylor will be making special assists for some local families in need.

The two teammates will be distributing food on Thursday to families in need from the Cats Care Mobile Pantry. They will pass out the meals from J.H. Gunn Elementary School.

Since the Cats Care Mobile Pantry was donated to Second Harvest Food Bank last year, it has made 60 deliveries distributing over 525,000 pounds of food. To date, the Cats Care Mobile Pantry has provided food for approximately 16,500 families in eight different counties.

The pantry is scheduled to make 120 deliveries and serve approximately 33,000 families this year.
