Injured Norfolk football player cheers his team on

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — An injured Norfolk Catholic football player was able to cheer his team on to a state title this week.

Isaac Pfeifer suffered a spinal injury two weeks ago in the Class C-1 quarterfinals, but he was able to watch Norfolk Catholic beat Boone Central/Newman Grove 24-13 in Lincoln on Tuesday.

Issaac's father, Neil Pfeifer, says it's awesome that his son could attend the game at Memorial Stadium because he's part of the team.

Isaac's teammates wore his number on their helmets.

Then on Wednesday, Pfeifer got to meet several Nebraska Cornhuskers who visited patients at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln.
