High winds, mountain snow hit Oregon

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Forecasters say 6 to 12 inches of snow could fall Monday in the north Cascade Range in Oregon.

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for the area, as well as a mountainous swath running from the northeast corner of the state to Central Oregon.

The forecast called for 7 to 15 inches of snow in the Blue Mountains, a little less than half that in Wallowa County and the John Day highlands.

Stormy weather is also expected in the Cascade Range in Lane County.
