Man posts about drunken hit-and-run on Facebook, gets arrested

Driving drunk is reckless and so is posting about it on social media. But that’s exactly what one Oregon man did after a night on the town.

The Daily Astorian reports that Jacob Cox-Brown, 18, was arrested Wednesday for sideswiping a car in a hit-and-run accident.

Cox-Brown left the scene and went home to tell his friends all about it on Facebook, writing “Drivin drunk…classic ;) but to whoever’s vehicle i hit i am sorry. :P”

Reports indicate that his status update was sent to police by one of his Facebook friends.
