Howard Lutnik, CEO of the financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald, speaks to residents waiting in line for $1,000 payments being given to victims of Superstorm Sandy in Long Beach, N.Y., on Friday, March 1, 2013.
Cantor Fitzgerald, who lost 658 employees when the World Trade Center was attacked on Sept. 11, 2001, established a relief fund to help surviving families. Lutnik said the fund is now used to help victims of other tragedies, and the firm is distributing $10 million to Sandy victims throughout the region. (AP Photo/Frank Eltman)
