CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire lawmakers who will play a key role in how the state implements President Barack Obama's health overhaul law have postponed their first meeting of the new legislative session.

Republicans who opposed the overhaul passed a law in 2011 requiring the state insurance department to get the approval of a legislative oversight committee before implementing major changes under the law. The committee was scheduled to meet Thursday but instead have delayed the meeting until Monday.

The state has until Feb. 15 to decide whether to enter into a partnership with the federal government, which will establish an exchange to serve as a marketplace for consumers to find insurance.
