MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Ricky Rubio has been playing better lately, and the NBA has noticed.

Rubio was added Thursday night to the player pool for the rising stars game on Feb. 15 in Houston as part of the All-Star weekend festivities. He'll join teammate and fellow guard Alexey Shved at the event. The 22-year-old Rubio played in the rising stars game last season, too.

Rubio's return from reconstructive left knee surgery has been slow, but in his last six games he's averaging 10.8 points, 10.2 assists and 2.3 steals in 29.7 minutes. Rubio had 10 assists in the fourth quarter Monday night against Portland.
