SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A man who police found on fire at a convenience store in Provo is in critical condition with burns on 80 percent of his body.

Provo police say the 22-year-old man suffered burns when a dumpster fire at a 7-Eleven in Provo Monday spread to him.

Authorities say people from nearby businesses tried to put him out with extinguishers.

Provo police are investigating the fire, but don't know what caused the blaze or if it was set intentionally.

The man, whose name has not been released, is likely to be transferred to the burn center at University Hospital in Salt Lake City.
